Methods + data / benchmarks
This collection contains 16 papers: 14 directly supporting object pose, plus 2 joint hand–object pose papers for further reading. This is not an official ECCV task-category count.
Collection in One Sentence
PANY, UF0-6D, WAPR, and monocular-depth approaches continue to reduce new-object onboarding and refinement costs. G2FM, MemPose, and PriorPose encode category knowledge through flow, external memory, and deformation alignment.
Another clear theme returns evaluation to real complexity: XYZ-IBD targets industrial reflections and dense stacking, Point2Pose supports continuous multi-object recovery after complete occlusion, and geometry-preserving generation directly addresses pose-annotation consistency.
Evidence Status
Preconference collections can mistake title clues for established conclusions, so each entry displays its evidence status separately.
7
Task settings, pipelines, datasets, and results can be checked through preprints or project pages. These papers receive priority for complete site detail pages.
9
Only conservative task descriptions are provided, without inferred architectures, datasets, or numerical results. Task boundaries and detail pages will be reviewed when official PDFs become available.
Research Trends
Trends summarize publicly verifiable full texts and official titles. Method details for entries without full text remain marked as unverified.
01 · Generative Pose
The titles of G2FM, Occlusion-Resilient CAPE, and UF0-6D explicitly mention flow / flow matching, targeting category-level 9DoF, occlusion robustness, and zero-shot estimation with limited postprocessing, respectively. Training and geometric constraints await full-text verification.
02 · Reference & Memory
PANY uses unposed reference views and pose graphs; MemPose maintains cross-instance geometric memory; PriorPose's title indicates reference-guided deformation and alignment.
03 · Reality Check
XYZ-IBD brings reflections, symmetry, weak texture, and dense stacking into a millimeter-level industrial benchmark. Point2Pose uses long-range 2D point tracks for recovery of multiple unknown objects after complete occlusion and online TSDF reconstruction.
04 · Pose in Interaction
GenHOI targets unseen interactions and occlusion, while HOPformer / EPIC-Contact combines object pose, meshes, and contact. These are grouped separately from object-only tasks to keep counts clear.
Data Statistics
The 16 papers are assigned to mutually exclusive groups by primary contribution; tags retain overlapping input modalities, task settings, and application conditions.
Handles within-category variation, occlusion, and large vocabularies through flow matching, external geometric memory, shape hypotheses, and reference priors.
Moves from CAD or fixed templates toward a few unposed reference images, monocular-depth cues, unified flow, and wide-angle refinement.
Targets recovery after complete occlusion, online multi-object reconstruction, industrial reflections and dense stacking, and geometrically consistent training-data generation.
Object pose is a joint output alongside hands, contact, or interaction states, so these works are counted separately from standard object-only settings.
Interpreting the statistics: Category-level priors, flow, and memory currently form the largest combination. Unseen-object methods emphasize arbitrary references, monocular geometry, and reduced refinement. Counts will be adjusted through full-text verification as the proceedings become available.

Setting: Joint hand–object 3D pose from one RGB image with unseen objects and novel interactions
Input: RGB + predicted point cloud + text descriptions
Summary: GenHOI encodes objects, hands, and interactions with hierarchical semantic prompts and uses masked modeling over images, text, and internal point clouds. Predicted hand rotation / articulation then constrains object 6D pose. Reported object ADD-0.5D and ADD-S on DexYCB S3 are substantially higher, while hand metrics are only close to UniHOPE; 18 FPS excludes offline text generation.

Setting: Joint two-hand and object pose, mesh, and contact recovery from egocentric in-the-wild RGB
Input: egocentric monocular RGB
Summary: Introduces EPIC-Contact with 2,272 clips and 62.3K frames. HOPformer injects WiLoR hand priors into object features through 12 cross-attention layers. Against the strongest JointTransformer, EPIC SR@0.05 rises from 17.6% to 29.8% and CDev drops from 30.1 to 20.7 mm; the abstract's near-doubling / 75% reduction more closely reflects comparison with ArcticNet-SF. The main pose table uses oracle meshes; automatic classification accuracy is 52.9%.
Scope, Exclusions & Dedup
Core inclusion: Primary outputs are object 6D / 9D pose, category-level / category-agnostic pose, unseen-object pose, object pose tracking, or data and benchmarks directly supporting these tasks.
Extended inclusion: GenHOI and HOPformer jointly estimate hands, objects, and interaction states. Object pose is a joint output in a setting beyond object-only estimation, so they are excluded from the 14 core papers.
Boundary exclusions: Camera pose / visual localization alone, correspondence without object pose recovery, target 6D rearrangement, generated-view pose control, and downstream systems taking existing pose as input are excluded. PoseImageNet is provisionally retained based on its title; its outputs will be reviewed against this site's scope when full text is available.
Version deduplication: Public arXiv versions serve as full-text sources for official ECCV entries and are not counted separately. Once proceedings are available, metadata, presentation types, and results will be updated from ECCV versions and the collection will be screened again.
Primary sources: ECCV 2026 Preliminary Accepted Papers, each paper's official ECCV entry, and public author preprints and project pages. Site summaries do not replace the original papers.
